Oct. 31 - Asian shares mostly edged higher Wednesday, ahead of conclusion of a key policy meeting of the U.S. Federal Reserve.

Japan's Nikkei rose with Matsushita higher after the Panasonic maker reported a surprise 3% rise in quarterly profit on strong sales of cameras and TVs.
